Annual Business Meeting and Luncheon
GMRA holds an annual business meeting/luncheon, typically the first or second week in December. In 2003, for the first time, Amateur Radio equipment door prizes were awarded. Click the link below to see picutres of past events:
The Monday Night EchoLink Social Net begins at 1930 weekly on the 146.610 repeater. All are welcome, and often includes check-ins from across the country!
The Thursday Night GMRA Social Net begins at 1930 weekly on the 146.880 repeater. All are welcome.
EVERY MORNING beginning around 8 am some of our early riser members meet on the 146.610 repeater. This is a very casual get together to begin the day. Please check in from home or en-route to work.
Please join us for the (temporary) "COVID-19 NET" on the First Saturday of Every Month at 12 Noon on the 146.610 repeater. This net was formed as temporary way for folks that would normally attend the monthly luncheons to still be able to talk to each other during the current pandemic. Check in and be recognized! All are welcome!!
Periodically, GMRA will arrange for tours to local area attractions, which may include other clubs and lunch. Past tours have been to:
The National Cryptologic Museum, Fort Meade, Maryland.
The Historical Electronics Museum, Linthicum, Maryland.
The new Air and Space Museum near Dulles airport, Virginia.
The Radio and Television Museum, Bowie, Maryland.
Future tours/visits will generally be announced on this page, but members will always be notified of upcoming tours via email. Member suggestions for touring specific sites are most welcome and may be forwarded to the Activities Chairman Chuck Glenn, KV3G, at: kv3g
