Friday

Veterans Net

7:30 PM Eastern

Meet with fellow operators on the 146.610 MHz repeater. Everyone is welcome.

Notice: The 146.880 repeater in Greenbelt, MD is currently in a state of diminished range due to the antenna having been removed from the WSSC water tank while it is being rehabilitated.  All NETS normally held on the 146.880 repeater have temporarily moved to the 146.610 repeater in Bladensburg, MD., and to Echo Link Node #796114.  Once the water tank repairs are completed and the antenna is back on top, the NETS normally scheduled for the 146.880 repeater will return.

CLUB TRADITION

Annual Business Meeting & Luncheon

GMRA typically holds its annual business meeting and luncheon during the first or second week of January.

The meeting was moved from December to January so that the club's business records could include the full previous calendar year. In 2003, amateur radio equipment door prizes were awarded for the first time.

SOCIAL GATHERINGS

Monthly Luncheon

Not currently scheduled

GMRA previously held an informal luncheon on the first Saturday of each month at noon at The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille in Burtonsville, Maryland. It was a chance to meet the people you've spoken with on the air.

The monthly luncheon has been suspended since 2020.

It has not restarted following the COVID-19 cancellation. If enough members are interested, GMRA may resume the event.

Interested in bringing it back? Email gmra@live.com and let the club know.
